May Favourites

We are fast approaching the end of the month so it is time for me to share my MONTHLY FAVOURITES.

1. KREAFUNK 'aGroove' Speaker (Blue)- I picked this up in a Museum in Stockholm when I was there at Easter. The bluetooth speaker connect directly to your phone and I have used it so much while revising and doing work. I love how compact it is and easy to move around anywhere with you.

2. Spotify - Along with the speakers I have been enjoying creating and listening to playlists on Spotify. I particularly love listening to the Hozier album, James Bay's album, as well as Joe Sugg's 'Coachella 15' Playlist. I only have the free version at the moment but am thinking about upgrading. Is it worth it?

3. Daniel Wellington 'Sheffield Lady' - I got this from my grandparents for my 18th birthday back in December. I got the Rose Gold Sheffield Lady watch; it is very versatile as it is perfect for both casual and smart outfits.

4. Benefit They're Real! Mascara - I wear this mascara on a daily basis and it is only now that it is on its last legs that I have realised how much I love it. Definitely considering repurchasing it but would also like to try the Roller Lash Mascara. Which is better?

5. Nivea Fruity Shine (Watermelon) - This lip balm is great at keeping chapped lips away but also adds a sheer wash of colour and shine. It's great!

Lush Haul

Lush products are some of my favourite bath and shower products out there. When they had a 50% off sale after Christmas I went a bit crazy, so I thought I would share with you what I got.

1. Christmas Hedgehog // Bubble Bar (£1.65)
'Soften skin and prickly moods this festive season. Crumble under running water for mounds of bubbles and a moisturising soak.'

2. Dashing Santa // Bath Bomb (£1.45)
'The citrus essential oils in this satsuma-scented bath bomb will put a spring in your step. Drop into the water and watch Santa fly.'

3. Melting Snowman // Bath Melt (£1.10)
'Melt away festive fatigue with this cocoa butter bath melt. Drop into your bath water to soften up.'

4. Yog Nog // Soap (£2.00)
'Give skin a drink of soap made with soya yoghurt and a fudgy blend of festive spices. Lather on, then put on your Christmas knits.'

5. Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds // Bubble Bar (£2.35)
'Patchouli and frankincense give it an exotic, hypnotic fragrance that helps you relax. This melts into your bathwater, turning the water sky-blue dotted with foam clouds.'

6. So White // Bath Bomb (£1.75)
'This brings a crisp, fresh aroma of a juicy apple to your tub. Pop it in the bath and watch it fizz, releasing softening baking soda and the uplifting oils of bergamot and neroli.'

7. Sakura // Bath Bomb (£1.75)
'Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees.'

July Favourites

The end of the month is approaching so I thought I'd share with you some off my favourites.

1. Ed Sheeran - X
Ed Sheeran's new album was released at the end of June and I have been listening to it non stop since then. Some of my favourite songs from the album include 'I See Fire' and 'Nina'. The album is available HERE for £9.00 or the deluxe version HERE for £11.99.

2. The 'Three-Product-Face'
This month, as the weather has been improving here in the UK, I have been trying out a minimal makeup look using only concealer, powder and mascara. The products I have been using include Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' concealer, Collection 'lasting perfection' concealer, Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder and Maybelline 'The Rocket' mascara

3. NYC Nail Polish
I own quite a few nail polishes from this collection and recently I have been loving wearing blue shades on my nails. Two of my favourites include 'East Village' and 'Raindrop'.  You can find them in Superdrug, priced at just £1.79 per polish. I also love using a glitter top coat, such as Kiko Fancy Topcoat, for an accent nail.

4. Ray Ban - Wayfarers
I bought my Ray Ban's at the end of May and I have worn them a great deal since then. I love the way they look, feel AND they protect my eyes from the sun. I ordered mine through Tesco Opticians but I would not recommend using this company because they did not send the order out on time and the customer service department is frankly appalling.

I bought my new trainers at the beginning of the month and I have been wearing them nearly everyday. They are super comfortable and I love the colour. They cost £80 (£72 with student discount) but they were totally worth it and will last me a long time.

6. Fresh Mango
A bit of a random food favourite this month has been fresh mango. One of my goals for the summer is to eat more healthily and so far I have mainly been eating mango. I find it so refreshing and delicious.

7. Homemade Smoothies
To make my smoothies I have been using the Brenville Blend-Active Blender. I use about half a banana, a cup of mixed frozen berries, a cup of fruit juice and half a cup of water and blend it all together.

January Favourites

January has just ended so I thought I'd share my months favourites with you. I have a mixture of beauty, fashion and random favourites.

Beauty:

1. Soap and Glory Products: This month I have really been loving Soap and Glory products again. The scent is amazing; its floral and fragrant without being overpowering. I've especially been loving the famous 'Hand Food' which is perfect for hydrating your hands especially for sensitive skin. You can pick these up HERE and in most boots stores. There are often 3 for 2 offers on all the products in the range including a mini size which is perfect for carrying in your handbag.

2. Revlon Lip Butter: I bought this at the beginning of the month after Tanya Burr mentioned it in her 'Fresh and Pretty Drugstore Makeup For School!' video. I picked up  the shade 'Juicy Papaya' is the perfect 'your lips but better' shade and they are super moisturising.
3. Lush Lip Scrub: I picked this up in the Lush winter sale back in December. As it was just after Christmas this is the limited edition 'Santa' version which is cola flavoured. It is a great lip scrub that leaves my lips feeling smooth without it being too harsh. The scrub is also available in bubblegum, mint and popcorn flavours all priced at £5.50.
Fashion:

1. Cosy Jumpers: With it being winter here in the UK layers and cosy jumpers are key. This jumper from Forever 21 is super comfortable and the detail on the shoulders add a little extra to an outfit.
2. Cambridge Satchel: I wanted to buy a new bag with my Christmas money. So after searching the web and shops for days I finally decided to get an 11" Cambridge Satchel in Navy. I got this for £70 in the Urban Outfitters winter sale. It was such a bargain and I love it. It is the perfect size - you can fit all the essentials in it without having to carry a huge bag around all day. Cambridge satchels are available HERE.

Random:

1. TV Programmes: My favourite TV programmes of the month have to be the new series of Sherlock, Silent Witness and Call the Midwife.

2. Music: This month I been listening to two songs in particular. These are Pretty Hurts by Beyonce and Gold Dust by John Newman.

Everyday Makeup Routine // School

Today I thought I'd share with you the makeup products I use on a daily basis as part of my everyday/school makeup routine.

Face:
For foundation I love Bourjois 'Healthy Mix Serum'. I picked up shade 53 (Beige Clair) which is a perfect match for my skin tone. It is easy to blend and evens out the skin tone to give it a lovely semi-matte finish. It is definitely my favourite finish in terms of foundation as it’s not overly dewy so that it looks a little bit oily on the skin, but it’s not so matte that it highlights dry patches or looks a little too powdery. I like to use one pump of the foundation as it gives medium coverage although the coverage is buildable. This foundation is £10.99 which is quite pricey for a drugstore foundation but I really love the formula. Buy it HERE.

Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' concealer is perfect for under the eyes because it is a brightening concealer. I used the applicator to swipe the product under the eyes and then blend in using my ring finger. You can buy it HERE for £5.49. There is 7ml of product in this and it lasts for a long time (I've had mine since July and it's nearly finished now - 6 months later).
For blemishes I like to use MAC 'studio finish' concealer and apply it with my fingers. The concealer is quite high coverage but does not feel cakey. I have the shade NC20 which is perfect for my skin tone. If you are unsure of what shade to get, the ladies in the MAC store are super helpful and so lovely. The concealer is quite pricey at £15 but I think it is well worth it. You can find it HERE.
I like to set my face makeup in place using Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder. I have the shade 'Warm Beige' but they have a variety of shades which includes a translucent powder. This would allow you to set your base makeup without adding any more coverage.
Eyes:

Sometimes I like to wear a small amount of neutral eyeshadow. The 'Heaven and Earth' palette from MUA has the perfect mix of shimmery and matte neutrals and is a bargin at just £4.

For mascara I love Maybelline 'The Rocket Volum' Express' in the colour black. This mascara gives the perfect mix of length and volume to your lashes and is not clumpy. You can buy this HERE for £7.99.

I don't fill in my eyebrows but I like to just set them in place using a clear mascara. At the moment I am using this cheap one from MUA which does the job perfectly.
Lips:

To moisturise my lips I use Vaseline, this is the 'Rosy Lips' version and I love it! This is just £1.99 and can be found HERE.
I don't like to wear lipstick to school so this Revlon Lip Butter in the shade 'Juicy Papaya' is the perfect 'your lips but better' shade and is super moisturising.

So there we have it; my most used makeup products. What's your favourite everyday product? Feel free to let me know in the comments.
